In early 2023, Eric and Rachel learned about a potential opportunity to purchase an existing independent insurance agency. Not knowing anything about the insurance industry, they attended a week long training and licensing course. At the end of the week, the class participants sat for the licensing exam. To their surprise, Rachel passed the exam on the first try and Eric passed shortly afterwards. After returning home, they spoke with family and friends and decided to pursue this next adventure. Diving full speed ahead they took over the independent agency and office in June 2023. They continued to learn everything about the business, clients and even remodeled the office space.

The Mize family have deep roots in the area, so you just might see them shopping around town, attending church and fellowship functions or at the school with their 3 boys.
